ALC Manages Gump's Catalog

ALC of New York LLC, has been appointed exclusive list manager of Gump's catalog. The file identifies more than 149,000 last-12-month buyers.

These customers, who purchase crystal, porcelain, silver, collectibles and jewelry from the fit and home catalog, are affluent women with an average age of 55, who spend about $135 per order, according to ALC of New York.

"The addition of Gump's to our portfolio further strengthens our overall position in the continuously expanding gift and home furnishings market," said Andy Ostroy, the firm's managing partner, in a statement. Other ALC of New York clients include Williams-Sonoma, Hammacher Schlemmer and Bloomingdale's by Mail.

Gump's is owned by Hanover Direct. The acquisition is effective April 26.
