Steven Semmelmayer Takes Helm At Discus Dental

Discus Dental, a business-to-business marketer of oral hygiene and tooth-whitening products to dentists, has tapped Steven J. Semmelmayer to serve as its CEO.

Semmelmayer was most recently president, chairman and CEO of LED Medical Technologies, a firm that markets medical devices used to detect oral cancer. Before that, he was president of the Professional Dental Group of Sybron Dental Specialties.

He also served as president of Kerr Corp., and started his career at Ortmco, an orthodontic company.
