World Marketing Inc., a direct marketing services firm, has hired Jeff Thies to serve as vice president of marketing. Thies will report to Mac Rodgers, the Dallas-based firm's president and CEO.

Thies will oversee all of World Marketing's marketing functions. He was most recently vice president of marketing for AMS Response, Paramount, CA. His background includes expertise in direct marketing and direct mail; DM product development; marketing strategy and management consultation; Hispanic marketing and postal and mailing service production management.

Thies is an MBA professor of direct marketing and Latin American studies for the College of Business Administration at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
