Blyth Revamps Operations
Blyth Inc., a vendor of candles, seasonal decorations and home décor
accessories, announced that it has reorganized into two operating
divisions, following the divestiture of most of its European wholesale
unit earlier this year.
Greenwich CT-based Blyth will keep its direct-sales division, comprised
primarily of the PartyLite line, with operations in 11 countries.
The company has also created a new multichannel group by combining its
former catalog and Internet division -- notably the Myles Kimball Co.
and Boca Java brands-- with the North American portion of its former
wholesale division. The Blyth wholesale business units include Blyth
HomeScents International -- North America, CBK, Midwest and Sterno.
Rob Goergen, former president of Blyth's catalog and Internet group,
has been named to head the new multichannel group. Bruce Crain, senior
vice president of Blyth and president of the wholesale group, will
leave the company following the successful divestiture of the European
wholesale division.
