Office Depot Acquires Chinese Direct Marketer

Office Depot has acquired AsiaEC, a large office supplies direct marketer in China.

Terms were not disclosed.

Headquartered in Beijing with offices in Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, the company sells office supplies, furniture, custom printing and promotional items through direct mail, online and contract sales into those markets.

AsiaEC will operate under the Office Depot International Division. AsiaEC CEO Tim Liu will report to Teddy Chung, Office Depot senior vice president & managing director, Asia.
