Voice Commerce Acquires Perpetual Payments
Voice Commerce Group, a British transaction processing firm, has acquired Perpetual Payments, a London-based credit card and merchant services processing company.
Terms were not disclosed.
Under the agreement, Perpetual becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary of Voice.
Perpetual offers systems for small-to-medium sized firms as well as new business start ups.
“This deal is the first of what we expect to be a series of significant acquisitions for our business during 2009, and during January we signed around 100 million pounds ($143.4 million) worth of new business through Perpetual Payments,” said Voice CEO Nick Ogden, in a statement. “Now, with access to our technologies the business is already helping business take advantage of much needed sales opportunities within the e-commerce, mobile and online TV marketplaces.”
