Rene Aiu has been appointed president and CEO for the TV shopping network ShopNBC. With this appointment she also becomes a member of the board of directors.

Aiu has more than 20 years of experience in TV home shopping and e-commerce. She replaces interim CEO John Buck who will continue in as capacity as executive chairman of the board.

Aiu was formerly CEO at Jupiter Shop Channel Japan, a Japanese TV home shopping firm. Earlier in her career she provided consulting services for various firms involved with TV home shopping.

ShopNBC is owned and operated by ValueVision Media and reaches more than 70 million homes via cable and satellite TV stations.
