Quebecor Losses Widen in Quarter

Quebecor World Inc. reported a net loss of $38.1 million for the first quarter compared to net income of $6.3 million last year.

The printing giant posted revenue of $1.4 billion for the quarter ended March 31, a decrease from revenue of $1.5 billion in the prior-year.

The Montreal firm attributed these results to expenses associated with plant closures and retooling.
