Red Ventures Acquires Lead Generation Firm Modern Consumer

Red Ventures, an online marketing firm, has acquired Modern Consumer, a company that operates a lead generation and distribution network for the automotive finance industry. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquisition brings Modern Consumer’s consumer finance application services, which focus on the U.S. auto dealership industry, to Red Ventures’ customer acquisition marketing capabilities. Red Ventures’ current markets include the home services, consumer products, education, home improvement and small business services verticals.

Modern Consumer will operate as a division of Red Ventures, and will retain its current management. The unit will keep its downtown Manhattan offices. Red Ventures is headquartered in Charlotte, NC.

Modern Consumer was founded in 2002 by Michael Fishman, Michael Jacobson, Steven Leavy, and Josh Reznick.
