Maine Call Center to Create 300 jobs
A Canadian telemarketing company will take over the former MBNA call center and create 300 jobs, according to wire service reports.
Connect North America Corp. will make the vacant building its first site in the United States, said Barry O'Donnell, the company's CEO.
The company plans to open as soon as the first quarter of 2007 with
about 50 employees and eventually expand to about 300 employees with a
$5 million payroll, O'Donnell said.
Local and state officials have been working with Connect since May.
