AIG Unit Acquires Matrix Direct

American General Life Insurance Co., a subsidiary of American International Group has acquired term life insurance direct marketer Matrix Direct Inc. for an undisclosed sum.

Ron Harris, president of Matrix, will retain his title and will report to Rick Hollar, chairman/CEO of AIG American General's life profit center and independent distribution unit.
