Media Applications Provider Whoop Acquires XOsphere

Whoop, Inc. has acquired XOsphere LLC and XOsphere's sister company in Latin America. Whoop did not reveal the financial terms of the acquisition.

Members of XOsphere's management team, including Andrew Dod, SVP of marketing; Demetrio Cuzzocrea, VP of creative services; and Manuel Reyna, managing director of Latin America. will join Whoop's executive ranks.

Whoop offers a Web destination where subscribers can create rich media applications, Mobile Web sites and text communications. XOsphere is a mobile technology firm.
