Lesson Plan
“Lessons Learned” is a new series of books from Harvard Business School Press that showcases personal essays from academics, senior executives and thought leaders.
Each of the first three volumes — “Leading By Example,” “Managing Your Career” and “Managing Change” — features 12 to 14 essays from contributors such as David Brandon, CEO of Domino's Pizza; Shelly Lazarus, CEO of Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide; Sir Michael Rake, chairman of KPMG International; and Stephen Tindale of Greenpeace UK.
Content for the series was compiled by Fifty Lessons (www.50lessons.com), a digital video library that provides task-specific business lessons on demand.
Topics covered in the three volumes include “Leadership Is Not a Popularity Contest” (by Sanjiv Ahuja, Orange Group CEO) and “Listening at All Levels” (by Dawn Airey, former managing director of British Sky Broadcasting's Sky Networks).
