Yesmail Debuts Mobile, SMS Features
E-mail service provider Yesmail recently announced it has developed a mobile and short-message-service campaign-management tool.
According to Yesmail, marketers using the new tool can identify who is opening their messages on mobile devices and which devices they are using.
The tool also helps marketers embed mobile-friendly content into HTML e-mails, according to Yesmail.
The company added it has partnered with e-mail Pivotal Veracity to offer Yesmail clients the deliverability firm’s eDesign Optimizer rendering tool.
Launched in 2005, eDesign Optimizer allows e-mail marketers to see how their messages will look on most e-mail inbox services when viewed on desktop and laptop computers and mobile devices, according to Pivotal Veracity.
Besides showing how e-mail messages appear on the various devices, eDesign Optimizer will also validate the message’s links and images, tell the sender if their links and images are loading too slowly, and if their messages are larger than 20 kb, which will affect its ability to load on a mobile device, the company claims.
Meanwhile, Yesmail said it has also entered into an agreement with VeriSign that adds SMS messaging capabilities to Yesmail Enterprise, negating the need for clients to work with multiple vendors to execute SMS campaigns.
