GOT Corp. Rebranding Name to Campaigner
GOT Corp. decided it has got to get rid of that name.
As a result, the e-mail marketing software-on-demand provider has rebranded itself to Campaigner, the name of its two-tiered product. The company relaunched its Web site in February with the GOT moniker erased once and for all.
The change isn’t completely official. The company’s legal name will remain GOT, said its director of marketing, Huw Griffiths.
However, its public face will be Campaigner and its communications will refer to the company as such.
The company was founded in 1999 as GOT Marketing, said Griffiths.
“Initially the concept was kind of a multi-solution marketing company with an overall marketing platform,” he said. “Over the course of the first two years, management realized that the real strength of the company was e-mail marketing. So around 2001, GOT Marketing became GOT Corp.
“From that point it was kind of a natural evolution that we pushed [the name] GOT Corp. to the back and really focus on what we’re known for which is our Campaigner e-mail marketing platform,” he said.
The company offers two versions of its product: Campaigner and Campaigner Pro.
“Campaigner is an easy-to-use program, easy to get up and going. It’s targeted at the entry-level small business user who needs a solid, reliable delivery platform to get their messages out usually in a one-to-many environment,” Griffiths said. “Campaigner Pro is our solution for those looking to do a lot more of the advanced sort of one-to-one e-mail marketing.”
Campaigner Pro is aimed at larger business and Campaigner customers as they grow out of it, said Griffiths.
The company also recently released the latest version of its product, which offers event-triggered massaging accessible through a drag-and-drop interface.
“It was designed from a standpoint of it’s an easy-to-use, self-service solution,” said Griffiths.
Campaigner has two offices in Canada, one in Montreal and one in Ottawa, and just under 100 employees.
