ALC Forms Partnership with Zumbox; Rappaport Named CEO
Zumbox, a Web-based postal system, has formed a partnership with data marketing service provider ALC. Under the agreement, ALC Chairman and CEO Donn Rappaport has been named the first CEO of Zumbox.
Rappaport will continue as chairman of ALC, the company he founded in 1978. The deal leverages ALC’s sales and marketing resources and its network of regional sales offices.
Glenn Ward, who had been president of Zumbox, transitioned out of the company, but remains on as a company advisor.
Zumbox describes itself as a secure, street-address-based web platform that enables both companies and individuals to send paperless mail (such as financial statements, bills, direct mail, catalogs) to a digital mailbox, or Zumbox, that can be accessed from the Internet.
Rappaport, a former chairman of the Direct Marketing Association (2008, is also on the board.
