Credit Bureaus Launch New Credit Scoring System
Experian, Equifax and TransUnion have jointly introduced VantageScore, a new credit model designed to simplify cross-bureau credit score reporting.
VantageScore allows credit grantors the ability to access one uniform, objective ranking for consumers, and reduces score differences between the three credit-reporting companies attributable to data discrepancies.
Under the new system, consumers are assigned a score between 501 and 990. VantageScore is being independently marketed by each of the three credit bureaus.
