U.K.'s First Resources Buys Cucina Direct

The United Kingdom-based direct marketing group First Resources Ltd. has acquired for undisclosed terms Cucina Direct Ltd., a kitchen and tableware catalog and Internet marketer.

Cucina Direct was acquired through U.K. bankruptcy administrators, after negotiations to acquire the firm broke down last month.

First Resources publishes numerous other catalogs including Scotts of Stow Ltd. and two spin-offs Expert Verdict and The Original Gift Shop Co., in addition to Tamlin & Brown, Ancestral Collections and Presents Direct.
