Database Marketing Agency Merkle Ramps Up Recruitment

Merkle, a database marketing agency, is expanding its work force, and had hired Rick Burgess to serve as vice president of talent acquisition.

Burgess will oversee the Lanham, MD-based firm’s recruitment efforts, which include account directors, analysts, business intelligence consultants and strategy directors. The company will also be filling up to 100 employees for its Boston office, which opened in August.

Burgess had previously been a managing partner at Kaye/Bassman International Corp., an executive search firm based in Dallas.
