Survey Shows Mailers Still Like the No. 10 Envelope
Tradition rules when it comes to direct mail.
The two top formats are the postcard and the No. 10 envelope, according to a survey by the Kern Organization. And they are followed by the self-mailer.
The full results are as follows:
*Postcard format (3” x 5”, 4” x 6”, 5” x 11”) – 35.5%
*Envelope letter kit format (No. 10) – 34%
*Self-mailer format (2 panel, 3 panel) – 20%
*We do not use postal mail – 16%
*Envelope letter kit format (6” x 9”) – 12.5%
*Other – 12%
The survey is based on responses from roughly 200 direct marketers.
