Amazon.Com Partners With Health And Beauty, Invests In Wine
Amazon.com, the Seattle-based e-marketer of just about everything, announced its new health and beauty store amidst reports that it is investing in Wineshopper.com.
The health and beauty store is a gateway to drugstore.com. The launch follows the Jan. 24 announcement of a strategic alliance between the two companies.
Meanwhile, Amazon may be investing up Wineshopper.com, which began selling wine online only last week, according to a report in Upside Today. The deal is expected to follow the usual Amazon strategy: first acquire an ownership stake in an e-marketer, then turn the deal into a moneymaking marketing partnership.
