Amazon.com To Sell Via Palm Pilots

Amazon.com, Seattle, has launched Amazon.com Anywhere, a wireless form of e-commerce that lets customers shop at Amazon.com when they are away from their desktop or laptop computers. The primary wireless application is the Palm Pilot VII, which was officially released Monday.

To provide such wireless services, Amazon.com acquired Convergence Corp. in exchange for equity having a total value of about $20 million.
