Catalina Marketing Names Michael Bechtol President and COO

Michael G. Bechtol has been promoted to president and chief operating officer of Catalina Marketing Corp. Bechtol’s duties within this newly created role will include overall management responsibility for the firm’s day-to-day activities, as well as overseeing information technology, operations, corporate marketing and human resources.

Daniel D. Granger will remain in his role as chairman and chief executive officer.

Separately, David Diamond, president of emerging business and chief vision officer, will be leaving his full-time position with the company, but will continue his relationship with the firm in a consulting capacity.

Catalina Marketing, which is located in St. Petersburg, FL, provides point of sale analytic services, promotional messaging, product sampling, market research and loyalty programs to a variety of retailers.
