CRM Firm Aegis Sells Its Market Research Division

Aegis Communications Group Inc., Irving, TX has sold Elrick & Lavidge its marketing research division, to TNS Intersearch, a subsidiary of UK-based Taylor Nelson Sofres plc. Elrick & Lavidge had revenue of $22.9 million in 2001. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Data Analytics Group, which had been part of Elrick and Lavidge, was not part of the sale. Taylor Nelson Sofres is a marketing information firm.

"In our review of Aegis’s position in the customer relationship management sector, we concluded that the core research offering of our marketing research division were no longer strategic for our company," Herman M. Schwartz, Aegis’s president and CEO said in a statement.
