Healthcare Suppliers Form Internet Venture

Healthcare suppliers AmeriSource Health Corp., Cardinal Health Inc. Fisher Scientific International Inc. and McKesson HBOC Inc. have signed a definitive agreement to form an online business-to-business electronic health exchange.

The as-yet unnamed company, to be based in Minneapolis, will offer a centralized Internet clearinghouse for the many different industry processes in use today to classify, contract for and track the delivery of pharmaceutical, medical-surgical and laboratory products.
