Interpublic Group Combines Top Agencies
The Interpublic Group of Cos., has merged Hill Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos and Goldberg Moser O'Neill. With the combined operations, the new agency will have billings of more than $1.2 billion, nearly 1,000 employees and a client list that includes some of the biggest brands in the world.
The operations will be renamed GMO/Hill, Holliday.
Jack Connors, Jr., chairman of Hill, Holliday, will serve as chairman and CEO of the new entity, and Fred Goldberg, chairman and CEO of GMO, will become chairman in keeping with his plan to reduce his day-to-day involvement in the business by the end of the year.
The new agency's principal offices will be in Boston, San Francisco and New York. The Boston and New York offices will continue to be called Hill Holliday.
