Kaplan Agency Closing Down

The Kaplan Agency Inc., Stamford, CT, a list management and brokerage firm, has been winding down its business operations and plans to close its doors by the end of the year.

Tom Kaplan, president of The Kaplan Agency, said yesterday that the majority of the company's clients have been transferred to competitors with Kaplan's help, and that all but a few employees are gone.

Kaplan said the process to close the business, founded in 1976, started about three months ago.
