Masson to Join Hanover Direct Board and Lead Audit Committee

Robert H. Masson will join Hanover Direct’s board of directors on Jan. 1. Masson was most recently senior vice president, finance and administration of Parsons & Whittemore, Inc., a paper industry pulp supplier.

The Securities and Exchange Commission has recommended that companies have a "financial expert" as their Audit Committee Chairs. Masson will fill that role, Shull added.

To make room for Masson, J. David Hakman has left the board. Hakman served on the board since 1989. Hanover Direct markets a variety of branded merchandise through several catalogs and Web site.
