MaxDirect, a division of MaxWorldwide, has been named to manage the Winfreestuff.com postal file of 12 million, a compiled database of self-reported information. The appointment took effect Feb. 1.

Visitors to Winfreestuff.com have provided personal information through online surveys--such as purchasing behavior and lifestyle interest--in exchange for the chance to win big prizes. The file is 45% male, 55% female and also offers a 1.1 million one-month hotline. Winfreestuff.com is a division of Vente Inc.

Selections include recency, product, interest, ethnic, homeowner, presence of child/age, occupation, age, marital status and income. The base price is $70 per thousand names.

The file had been managed by Mokrynski & Associates Inc.
