Planned Circ Drop Affects Brookstone’s Sales
Brookstone, Inc., Nashua, NH, said that sales during its second quarter rose 1.3%, from $68.7 million in second quarter 2000 to $69.6 million. The increase was fueled by adding additional retail outlets: Same-store sales were down 3.6%, and direct marketing revenue fell as a result of planned circulation decreases.
"We are looking forward to the launch of our new Web site and the enhanced and updated Brookstone Collections Catalog this October," said Michael Anthony, Brookstone’s president and CEO, in a statement.
