Saks To Combine Catalog, Net Operations

Saks Inc., owner of Saks Fifth Avenue and other department-store chains, will meld its catalog and Internet businesses into a new division to handle the retailer's growth online, according to published reports. Saks Fifth Avenue will set up an online store next spring that will focus on casual apparel, private-label brands, jewelry and other accessories.
