S&P Downgrades Midwest Medical Insurance Co.
Midwest Medical Insurance Co., a medical professional liability coverage provider, has had its Standard & Poor’s credit rating dropped from BBBpi to Bbpi.
In doing so, Standard & Poor’s cited the Minneapolis-based insurance direct marketer’s “weak” operating performance, its highly concentrated footprint in the Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota and Nebraska areas, which open it to competitive risks.
