Office Depot to Lay Off 250 Telemarketers
Office Depot Inc. will eliminate approximately 250 call center jobs in
Boca Raton, FL and will outsource them over the next four months,
according to the Palm Beach Post.
The move comes on the heels of April's announcement by the Delray
Beach-based direct marketer and retailer that 100 call center jobs
would be cut.
This current closure reflects the firm's shifting priorities. In
the last year, the company has increased sales by $1.2 billion as it
renewed focus on international sales and acquired smaller companies.
