J.C. Penney Direct Sales Fall in November

J. C. Penney Co. Inc. posted sales of $1.91 billion for November, up slightly from $1.86 billion in the prior-year period.

The Plano, TX company reported direct marketing sales of  $290 million for the four weeks ended Nov. 25, a 0.3% decrease from $291 million last year.

The firm posted a 17.5% increase in Internet sales for the month.
