s2 Marketing Purchases Alexander Marketing Services

s2 Marketing + Communications Inc. has acquired Alexander Marketing Services Inc., a business-to-business communications firm. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

AMS will continue to operate under its own name from its headquarters in Grand Rapids, MI, and will maintain its satellite offices in Chicago and Raleigh, NC. s2 is based in Chicago.

AMS, which was established in 1965, employs 25 people throughout its operations. Bob Milroy, AMS’s former president, is being retained for strategic planning and new client development purposes. Stephen Schmieder and Patrick Sheehy, s2’s managing partners, are “taking an active role in supporting the vision of AMS,” according to a company statement.

The purchase brings AMS’s client base, which includes marketers in the manufacturing, technology and business service sectors, to s2 Marketing’s financial sector clients.
