Responsys Acquires Smith-Harmon

Marketing services firm Responsys will acquire Smith-Harmon Inc., a digital marketing services firm. Terms of the acquisition were not announced.

The acquisition augments Responsys’s abilities within the e-mail, mobile, social and Web channels. Specifically, Smith-Harmon will add:

Contact strategy, program optimization and reputation management;

Creative transformation, template system design and production capabilities; and

Lifecycle information, including data integration, campaign deployment and application development.

Aaron Smith, a principal of Smith-Harmon, is now director of creative technologies at Responsys. Lisa Harmon, another Smith-Harmon principal, is now director of creative services.
