Sadly, your column will be closer to the truth than we'd like:- Murdoch has never been one to abide by the rules of ethical journalism, or respect for intellectual discourse . . . his plowboy rush to champion his rather unique Right Wing perspective is sad. His wealth has the momentum but not the intellect to make positive change.

As a broke-ass techie businessperson, I watch helpless as the WSJ assets becomes marketing fodder for the Murdoch machine . . . your notes were sadly spot on.

Your column was not as far off as you think!

The Wall Street Journal has arrived at my house in a plastic bag with a coupon for the NY Post!

And this is in the Washington, DC market. Bethesda, MD is about as unlikely a demographic for the NY Post as Greenwich, CT. Possibly more so.

You paint an alarming picture of what would happen if the Wall Street Journal became a tabloid!

Surely Rupert Murdoch wouldn't try to "jazz up" a winner like the Journal!

Congratulations on the 2nd best placement of the verb ‘skulk’ since Andie McDowell twirled Hugh Grant’s fancy in ‘4 Weddings and a Funeral’ . . . Once again, you’ve brought a smile on a Monday morning.
