CIS Acquires List Division From World Marketing

Compact Information Systems (CIS) has acquired the list services
division of World Marketing Inc., a direct marketing services agency
owned by executives of the Omaha World Herald Co. Terms have not been
disclosed.
World Marketing's director of list services, Chris Slauter and the list
services staff in Dallas have joined CIS.
The two companies have formed a strategic alliance and CIS will continue
to provide list services for World Marketing's direct marketing services
clients.
"We will work closely with World Marketing as a team to deliver complete
list and mailing needs," said Slauter in a statement.
Redmond, WA-based CIS offers an array of services for direct marketing,
including data processing and mailing lists.
CIS maintains a consumer database with nearly 100 million names and
demographic data. It's A-List division offers compiled resident/occupant
lists accessible online.
CIS also houses and serves as a data reseller for Equifax's Totalsource
consumer database, which contains information for 110 million households
with dozens of selections, including income. CIS sources business data
from Dun & Bradstreet.
